Traditional And Old Roman Styles Are Offered At The Same Price

Traditional
Roman Style shades (pictured left) come with a 6" valance to match
your fabric choice. Pull cords are visible to the front of the shade for easy
access. Both "Flat" and "Hobbled" style shades are made
standard with this type of construction.

Old Roman
Style Shades (pictured left) are produced with no separate valance. Instead, the
fabric is attached to the front of the headrail, and the pull cords are hidden
behind the shade. Some consider this style to be more streamlined than a
Traditional Roman Shade. The only disadvantage with this style of shade
construction is when the shade is installed inside a window frame. The pull
cords are hidden behind the fabric, and are therefore difficult to reach when
you need to operate the shade. For this reason, we recommend Old Style Roman
Shades for "Outside Mount" installations only.
